Week of 9/27-10/3

This week it finally feels like fall. The high temp during the day only reaches about 60 and it's chilly at night. The leaves are starting to change and we have mums and pumpkins on the front porch. The kids don't seem to mind the cooler temps and still want to be outside alot. I, on the other hand, am already dreading having to bundle everyone up just to go outside. I love the ease and spontaneity of warm summer weather...especially with a squirmy baby that doesn't want to be held down to put on clothes and shoes...I'm speaking of you Miss Kellan!

We had a couple of play dates this week; one with Mason and Norah (friends from our small group) and Brady (neighbor). Grayson does a good job playing with other kids and I'm happy to say he is developing well socially. Although, he does misbehave sometimes with Brady! They play together like brothers and I think it's good for Grayson to be rough and rowdy with another kid sometimes.

Grayson also had soccer class this week, and Buppa and Dat came to watch. He did a little bit better and actually stayed on the soccer field for the most part. He really enjoys just running around and isn't quite getting into the technical aspects of the sport but maybe someday.

Kellan is getting closer to saying more words. She makes monkey noises and loves to sing into a microphone. Her favorite new word is "hi" this week. She enjoys saying "hi" to people everywhere we go. She also learned to sign 'eat' this week. She continues to sign 'more'.

Sunday we went to Robinette's. We ran around in the orchard, took some pictures, and ate the most delicious donuts in the world accompanied by the most delicious cider known to man.

We're looking forward to the month of October and all the annual fun fall festivities.
